Wheatfield, NY – Healthy living suggestions from eating well to hydro-therapy and clean drinking water will be featured in the Niagara County town of Wheatfield Saturday. A health fair will be held directly behind the Summit Park Mall.
Colleen Darby of Dental Care Associates, one of the sponsors, says various health screenings will be included. The Niagara County Sheriff'ss Department will also be on hand to offer finger printing for kids, while the dental organization conducts tooth print identifications. Darby says it is another great tool for parents to have on hand, in the event of a missing child situation.
"One of the things we are doing to keep kids safe is something new. It is called a tooth print. It actually captures your child's dental impression within a wax cap," Darby explained. "It also takes some of their DNA, and it is great in case your child was every lost or you needed to identify them."
The dental organization will also being giving out free mouth guards to children to use in various contact sports.
