Police: Convicted Pedophile Planned Woman's Death, Dismemberment

By Associated Press

Buffalo, NY – More details are emerging in the bizarre and grisly case of a woman allegedly killed and dismembered by her 15-year-old son.

Police in Buffalo charged Angel Rosa over the weekend with second-degree murder in the death of Madeline Irene, 46, whose body parts were found in a canal last month. Authorities are still trying to determine if her head and hands are inside a plastic garbage can filled with hardened concrete.

The garbage can was taken from the home of Edwin Gimenez, 50, a family acquaintance who has served time for sexually abusing minors.

Gimenez has been charged with sodomy and kidnapping of another child. He now faces a conspiracy charge in connection with the woman's death.

Police say Gimenez told the teen to drug his mother and strangle her. Authorities say Gimenez planned to take Rosa and an underage relative to New York City and continue his sexual abuse of them.
