Canadian Rockers Lowest of the Low Returns for Buffalo Concert

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – One of the biggest crowds of the season is expected tonight when the group Lowest of the Low performs in concert at Thursday at the Square downtown. Lowest of the Low is a Canadian band with a big following in Buffalo.

The band made an immediate impact with the release of its first CD, "Shakespeare My Butt," in 1991. Lowest of the Low quickly gained a cult following -- across Canada and in Buffalo. But just three years later, at the peak of their popularity, the band members split apart. Yet, their following only increased, and in 2000, they got back together for a reunion tour.

Stephen Stanley is the group's guitarist. Click the "listen" icon above to hear his conversation with WBFO's Mark Scott in advance of the Thursday at the Square concert.
