Buffalo, NY – A clock that once stood at Buffalo's Central Terminal is back where it belongs.
The 14-foot tall cast iron clock that once was a fixture in the concourse of the Central Terminal is back in its original spot. President of the Central Terminal Restoration Committee, Russell Pawlak, says the clock disappeared from the Terminal some time in the early 1990s. But it turned up last year at an antiques dealer in Chicago.
Through several corporate donations, including a significant contribution by M & T Bank, the committee raised the needed $25,000 to purchase the clock and return it to Buffalo.
The clock will remain at the terminal for the summer season. It will then be on display at at the M & T Center on Main Street downtown in an effort to raise more restoration dollars for the terminal.
