Buffalo, NY – Sales tax free week begins Monday in New York State.
Shoppers won't have to pay the 4.25 percent state sales tax on clothes and shoes priced under $110. And many local governments are also eliminating their shares of the sales tax, including Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.
Sales tax free week will run through February 6th.
Government leaders say it offers citizens a chance to shop at a discount and offers an economic boost for retailers.
