Buffalo, NY – Lake effect snow continues to batter portions of Western New York.
A lake snow warning continues for Niagara and Orleans Counties off Lake Ontario, and Southern Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties off Lake Erie. A lake snow advisory is in effect for the immediate Buffalo area.
Total snow accumulations in the most persistent bands of lake snow could reach one to two feet by Tuesday morning. Snow accumulations so far are 14 inches reported in the Cattaraugus County community of Perrysburg, 13 inches in Lockport and six inches in East Aurora.
A wind chill advisory is in effect for all of Western New York Monday night as temperatures drop to zero and below.
