Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service continues a lake effect snow warning for southern Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.
Seventeen inches of snow were recorded in Perrysburg, in Cattaraugus County, while a foot is on the ground in Yorkshire.
Two to four inches of snow are expected in the metro Buffalo area today, but additional accumulations of up to eight inches could fall in some lake effect snow bands south of the city.
A lake effect snow advisory is in effect in Niagara and Orleans counties, where three to five inches could fall in persistent lake snow areas.
