Buffalo, NY – The front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, Howard Dean, is leading in Erie County, according to a Goldhaber Research poll released Monday.
Goldhaber Research surveyed 282 registered Democrats in Erie County who say they're likely to vote in the March 2nd New York presidential primary.
Eighteen-point-four percent say they would vote for former Vermont Governor Howard Dean. That's nearly double the support his closest competitor received.
Nine-point-six percent said they would vote for Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman while eight-point-nine percent say they support Massachusetts Senator John Kerry. The rest of the field received support under five percent.
Still, many Democrats in Erie County say they haven't made up their minds. A full 45 percent say they're undecided.
