Amherst Town Board Adopts New Deer Plan

Buffalo, NY – The Amherst Town Board Tuesday night approved a new deer management plan.

Non-lethal control methods will remain in place for one year. If they are unsuccessful, a bail and shoot program will be reinstituted next January.

There was opposition to the plan on two fronts, from those who don't want the shooting of any deer and from others who want to start a bait and shoot program immediately.
