Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Museum of Science is open Martin Luther King Day - for free.
The Science Museum opened its doors Monday in honor of the late civil rights leader. Children and adults are invited to take advantage of the free admission offered by the museum each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Spokeswoman Renata Toney says it's all part of their commitment to education, and the tribute to a great man.
"The museum calls home to Martin Luther King Park, and we also just want to honor a man who was just a legendary leader and did so much for this country, and I think changed the American consciousness, in terms of how we think about each other, how we think as it relates to freedom," said Toney. "And we just thought this would also be great way to salute the community organizations that work so hard to preserve the park and restore it."
And this year, visitors can celebrate the holiday by coming in out of the cold, to learn all about snow. Get knee deep in the white stuff, learning how no two snowflakes are alike, at the "Winter Wonders" exhibit. The museum will be open free all day Monday, from 10 until 5.
