Buffalo, NY – Local development officials are working to give National Fuel some alternate sites for its corporate headquarters.
Thomas Kucharski, president of the Erie County Industrial Development Agency and Buffalo Niagara Enterprise, tells the Buffalo News his team will meet with National Fuel officials next week with a comprehensive list of sites.
The utility wants to leave its longtime Lafayette Square offices for a setting more like a suburban office park.
Kucharski said they'd like to keep the company downtown, possibly using the Empire Zones as an incentive, but state development officials say any other state incentives would be available for suburban sites as well.
