Buffalo, NY – The heavy lake effect snows which battered Western New York since Sunday evening have finally ended.
The Southtowns were hit hard early Tuesday. Several school districts closed, including Orchard Park, Hamburg, Frontier and Iroquois.
The National Weather Service reports 14 inches of accumulation in Hamburg.
The bands finally moved north during the course of the day, but resulted in much less accumulation in the Northtowns.
After some overnight snow showers, it should be partly sunny and milder on Wednesday.
