Buffalo, NY – Longtime Buffalo community leader and former retailer Louis L. Berger, Jr. has died.
Berger ran the L. L. Berger's store that his father founded in 1905, until bad economic conditions forced its closing in 1991. Berger's was a noted name for quality women's clothing in Buffalo.
He was a co-founder of Crimestoppers and Kids Escaping Drugs in Western New York.
Berger had been in ill health in recent years. He was 82.
