  • Elly Yu is a reporter at WABE, where she first got her start in public radio as angraduate student intern in 2013. Since then, she’s reported for WNYC, NPR’s Latino USA, and the New York Daily News among others.
  • Jesse King has been WAMC’s Assistant Morning Edition Producer since December 2018. A recent graduate of SUNY Oneonta, King first joined the WAMC newsroom as an intern in September 2018. She grew up an avid writer and self-described "radio-nerd" in Apalachin, New York, and spent much of her college experience managing WONY 90.9 FM, contributing to the student-run podcast, Oneonta Voices, and interning with Phoenix FM in Dublin, Ireland.   • Max Schulte is responsible for creating video and photo elements for WXXI News and its digital spaces. He also assists with news and public affairs coverage, digital-first video content, and studio productions. Prior to joining WXXI News, Schulte was a staff photographer for the Democrat and Chronicle for 23 years, his last two years he was lead photographer. Focusing his lens on breaking news and visual storytelling, he has earned national and New York State Associated Press Association honor for both his still photography and video. A native of Buffalo, Schulte grew up in the Elmwood Village. He is a Rochester Institute of Technology graduate with a BFA degree in photojournalism. His passion for photography started in grammar school and continues to this day.
  • Paul grew up in Phoenix and earned his B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Troy University in Alabama where he worked as a producer, editor and local host for Troy Public Radio. Paul then spent several years at Mississippi Public Broadcasting as the legislative and education reporter. His work there was featured on several NPR newscasts, All Things Considered, Morning Edition, PBS Newshour and the BBC. He’s also collaborated with the NPR Ed and the Southern Education Desks on stories that have aired across the Southeast. That work has earned Paul several Mississippi AP Broadcasters Association Awards and a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
  • I’Jaz joined the WBFO family in September 2020 and serves as a weekend anchor reporting local news on Sundays. In 2019, she earned her B.A. in Journalism from SUNY Buffalo State and in December 2020, she will earn her M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Data Science and Analytics. She hopes to merge her two backgrounds to produce data-driven stories that will be both informative and inspirational.
