A well-known member of Buffalo's broadcasting community has died. Brian Kahle, a former television personality on WKBW Channel 7, was president of his own company -- Magic Marketing in Lockport.
Kahle is best remembered for getting into an argument in 1987 during a live segment of AM-Buffalo with former Buffalo Mayor Jimmy Griffin.
In a 2010 interview with WBFO News, Kahle recalled throwing Griffin off the set.
"I said, you know, if you say that one more time you you're out of here, and obviously he repeated it because I remember saying we will be back but without him and we went to a commercial break and he left," said Kahle.
Kahle worked at Channel 7 from 1978 to 2001. He also was heard on Lockport radio station WLVL-AM.
The Buffalo News reports Kahle had suffered from diabetes and coronary artery disease He had quadruple by pass surgery in 2009.
Kahle is survived by a daughter and a son. He was 68.
