    Family History Day at Historic Concordia Cemetery

    Join us for Family History Day at one of Buffalo’s oldest and most historic cemeteries! Experts from local genealogy groups, research facilities, and historic organizations will be available to help attendees trace their family roots, answer questions, and offer translation assistance for German-language documents. Volunteers will also assist visitors in locating ancestors buried at Concordia.
    At noon, historian Peter Filim will speak about German-Americans and the Civil War.
    Founded in 1859, Concordia Cemetery is listed on both the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. It is maintained entirely by volunteers, and is supported through grants and donations.
    This free event is open to all ages and anyone interested in discovering more about their family history.
