Coast Guard rescues boating pair

Buffalo, NY – Members of the Coast Guard rescued a pair of boaters from the Buffalo Outer Harbor on Saturday.

Two men in a canoe became stuck in ice near Times Beach. The incident was discovered by a Coast Guard employee, who radioed for assistance. An ice rescue team was able to retrieve the boaters safely.

The pair were found to be without any safety or communications equipment.
