Buffalo, NY – The Erie County Sheriff's Department has named two city activists to act as community outreach deputies.
Don Allen and Willie Stewart have accepted unpaid positions to act as liaisons between community members and the Sheriff's Office in handling concerns about the Holding Center.
Allen brings his experience with City Hall to the post, while Stewart has long worked in the community in helping to explore and resolve challenges faced by residents.
