Albany, NY – The State Education Department released its report cards for every school in New York Wednesday morning.

The report cards compare standardized test scores and other factors such as graduation rates in order to help parents judge their children's schools. The latest information shows more students are taking and passing Regents exams with a score of 65 or higher.
Despite the gains, Education Commissioner Richard Mills says an achievement gap continues in high school. He says the four-year graduation rate for minority students is still unacceptably low.
