Buffalo, NY – More than 100 people rallied outside the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo Sunday. They were family members and friends of local men and women serving in the 105th Military Police in Iraq.
The group voiced its frustration over the 105th's extended stay in Iraq. Last week, families were informed that 105th members are now to return home June 17th. But many say they remain skeptical.
On Monday, US Senator Charles Schumer was scheduled to meet with family members at the Masten Armory to outline a new proposal to enlist more active duty personnel. The plan would help to reduce the burden on guardsmen and reservists.
