Buffalo, NY – Democrat Jack Davis announced his candidacy for Congress Thursday morning in the 26th district. He'll once again be challenging incumbent Republican Thomas Reynolds in November's election.
Reynolds defeated Davis in 2004.
Davis highlighted his experience as a businessman, not a career politician. He said Reynolds is beholden to special interests.
Wednesday, Republicans filed an election complaint against Davis. They want federal authorities to shut down his anti-free trade group, which they say is a front for his political ambitions.
Niagara County GOP Chairman Henry Wojtaszek filed separate complaints with the Federal Election Commission and with the state Board of Elections, charging Davis is breaking either federal or state election law, and possibly both.
