It's official -- President Barack Obama will be appearing at the University at Buffalo for his visit next Thursday. UB President Satish Tripathi released a written statement welcoming Obama to the UB campus August 22nd.
Tripathi said UB is "very pleased and proud to host President Obama." He said the visit will be a "historic occasion" for UB and the community.
Obama's bus tour will begin in Buffalo Thursday. He is expected to address education. An exact location and time have not been released.
UB said further information regarding the timing, location and topic of President Obama’s address at UB will be forthcoming from the White House press office, as well as additional details about the availability of tickets for this event.
