Senator Tim Kennedy celebrated National Senior Citizens Day on Friday with a visit to the Meals On Wheels site in Cheektowaga. Part of his presentation was the recognition of Frank and Carol Pytel, a couple who have been delivering meals to those in need for more than a decade. The couple shared why they feel that working with Meals On Wheels is not only rewarding but important.
The Pytels have made their volunteering a family affair. Their granddaughter often works with them on their deliveries. She has assisted for the past three years, beginning at the age of six.
