Authorities say a 20-year-old man has been hospitalized after he apparently tried to commit suicide by jumping from the second floor of Grand Island Town Court.
Sheriff's deputies report Sean Riordan had just been arraigned on felony assault and weapons possession charges when he jumped over a second-floor railing, falling 15 feet.
Riordan was reported in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.
