Buffalo, NY – Former Common Council member Brian Davis was arrested on a misdemaeanor charge Saturday during a raid at his half brother's house on Nevada Street.
Members of the Erie County Sheriff's Department and Buffalo Police found drug paraphernalia near Davis at the home, which led to his arrest, though Greg Savage from the Sheriff's Department claims that this might have been a matter of circumstance.
Davis has been charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Davis's half brother, Booker T. Davis, was the subject of the raid. He was charged with numerous offenses. A second brother, George Davis, was arrested on South Division Street and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Brian Davis resigned from the Common Council in 2009 after pleading guilty to the misuse of campaign funds.
