A WBFO News Interview with Governor David Paterson

Governor David Paterson
Governor David Paterson

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – It's an understatement to say it's been a difficult year for Governor David Paterson. Since taking office in March 2007, Paterson has been sounding the alarm about the state's ongoing budget crisis. And he does so once again this morning, in an interview with WBFO's Mark Scott.

State legislators are due back in Albany Monday for another special session. Governor Paterson is hoping that unlike last week, lawmakers will approve a plan that closes a $3.2 billion in the current year's budget. Please know our interview with Governor Paterson was recorded before a weekend report in the Buffalo News that funding for the new vascular center now under construction in downtown Buffalo could be threatened by proposed budget cuts.
