Buffalo, NY – Organizers of the National Buffalo Wing Festival offered a sneak preview in Niagara Square Wednesday.
Samples of some of the many flavors of chicken wings and other delights were handed out to citizens. Festival founder Drew Cerza says there will be more seating at Coca-Cola field for this year's event.
Cerza is wearing two hats for this year's event. He was recently named to serve as the interim leader of the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau. Czerza says they will be asking out-of-town visitors to stop by a map of the U.S. and place a push pin to indicate where they are from.
Last year's festival drew over 78,000 people.
Buffalo firefighters will also be collecting money for the families of two fallen firefighters, Lt. Charles McCarthy and Jonathan Croom.
