Peoples expects more state budget cuts on the horizon.
When asked how lawmakers in the Assembly and Senate will work after this summer's Senate standoff that disrupted action on important state spending matters, Peoples literally plugged her nose. Peoples says she believes the Senate battle damaged and diminished how citizens view elected officials. But Peoples says she believes the best way to repair their image is to work for citizens, not for themselves.
