Buffalo, NY – Friday marked the end of an era at the Buffalo office of the FBI. Special agent Paul Moskal retired after a 29 year career.
For much of his time in Buffalo, Moskal was the public face of the agency. He was the liaison with the media, and was often called upon to answer questions about ongoing investigations.
Moskal tells WBFO News that there's no single case or investigation that stands out. He says the FBI does "incredibly" important work.
Special Agent in Charge of the agency's Buffalo office, Laurie Bennett, praised Moskal for his work as chief counsel, saying he always made sure the agency never "denigrated" the Constitution when enforcing it.
Moskal is leaving the FBI to take a position with a private-public consortium that deals with issues of intelligence and national security. He says he always enjoyed working with the media, that reporters like FBI agents are always searching for the truth.
