Buffalo, NY – This Sunday, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra join to present an emotional musical remembrance of the holocaust. They will perform Verdi's Defiant Requiem in tribute to Rafael Schaechter and his brave concerts at Terezin.
The BPO Chorus production, under the direction of Murray Sidlin, will feature four soloists who have performed the concerts at Terezin under Sidlin. There will also be a panel discussion on Saturday, featuring three survivors from the Schaechter chorus. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with concert chair Andrea Copley about this weekend's special events.
