Buffalo, NY – The Seneca Gaming Corporation welcomed patrons yesterday to its permanent gaming facility at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca. The Senecas are spending $160 million at the Salamanca site.
The Senecas are creating what they hope will be resort destination in Salamanca. Construction continues on a 212-room hotel and spa that's scheduled to open in March. Seneca Gaming spokesman Phil Pantano says the more than 68,000 square foot new gaming floor is 42-percent bigger than the temporary venue which opened in May 2005.
The old temporary space at the Seneca Allegany Casino may be converted to an events center. A portion could also be used for back-office operations.
