Buffalo, NY – Buffalo police have arrested a Buffalo man in the killing of a Main Street restaurant owner last Friday.
Raemon Woods, 18, of East Oakwood Place faces second degree murder and first degree robbery charges in the robbery of Tony's Ranch House. The owner of the restaurant, George Pitliangas, 41, died after what was described as an unprovoked shooting durring the robbery.
Police say Woods has confessed to his involvement in that robbery and in an April 5 robbery at a convenience store in Kenmore in which a cashier was shot and wounded. According to police, Woods claims his accomplice fired the shots in both robberies.
Police have questioned an alleged accomplice, but say they do not have enough evidence to charge him at this point.
