Join author, actress, and filmmaker Ekaete Bailey of Butterfly Chief Films for a special Spoken Word Poetry workshop for beginners. Writers and non-writers are welcome to join. We'll focus on the basics of spoken word poetry (structure, rhythm, and performance techniques), and create a short spoken word piece inspired by visual art. Learn performance tips and share your work in a supportive environment. Recommended for ages 16-99 (although younger teens are also welcome with their parent/guardian).
