The Alleyway Theatre welcomes the bonkers sketch group GIMLICK to grace its stage for one performance only on September 16 at 7:30pm in its cabaret space located at 1 Curtain Up Alley in downtown Buffalo. Gimlick features Brooklyn-based Rochester natives Kate Armstrong and Irene Rising, and Hudson Valley girl Marisa Caruso, performing the Gimlick experience for three Western New York cities over the course of one weekend. Audiences are invited to see the world through Gimlick’s eyes… if they dare! Sometimes surreal, occasionally unsettling, reliably ridiculous— this is a comedy experience by three women searching for their place in the universe and maximum female pleasure. Throughout the course of the show they give advice for how to deal with modern technology, rabies, unwanted body hair, and demonic rituals. With backgrounds in improv comedy and theater, it is a show that blends big laughs with surprising theatricality, along with healthy doses of insanity thrown in for good measure.
