Buffalo, NY – A Buffalo Police officer was involved in an early afternoon accident in downtown Buffalo Tuesday. It happened at the corner of Court and Frank Streets.
Police say a female officer was heading west on Court. Her police vehicle collided with a min-van traveling north on Franklin. The police vehicle spun out and hit a third vehicle parked along Court Street. Buffalo Fire had to extricate the officer from her vehicle.
The police officer was taken to ECMC to be checked out, but appeared to have non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the mini-van was an 83 year old woman. She was taken to Millard Suburban. Her injuries also did not appear to be life threatening.
No charges have been filed at this time, but the accident remains under investigation.
