Buffalo, NY – If you're looking for an extra bargain before the holidays, you may only have to ask. Holiday sales are shaping up to be the lowest in years. So, retailers are ready to deal these last two shopping days before Christmas.
With sales slow at virtually all retailers, experts say customers now have the upper hand. Stores are increasingly willing to do whatever they can to get rid of merchandise even offering discounts on the spot.
The Retail Council of New York State tracks sales from Buffalo to Long Island. We reached spokeswoman Rebecca Marion Flach at her Albany office Monday to find out more about a troubling holiday shopping season for retailers.
