Buffalo, NY – Buffalo's former Public Works Commissioner was sentenced to probation and community service Tuesday for accepting gratuities from companies doing business with the city.
Joseph Giambra pleaded guilty in June and appeared before State Supreme Court Justice Penny Wolfgang for his sentencing. In court, a remorseful Giambra apologized.
Wolfgang told Giambra he ended his long public career in disgrace. She sentenced him to three years probation and 300 hours of community service.
