Psychologist Explains Why Chris Drury Comes Through in the Clutch

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Sabres forward Chris Drury has come through in the clutch many times. Perhaps there was no more important goal than the one he scored last Friday night with eight seconds left to tie the game against the New York Rangers.

Dr. Mark Seery is an assistant professor of psychology at UB. He has studied athletic performance under pressure. And while he has not studied Chris Drury personally, Dr. Seery says he can explain why the Sabres co-captain is able to deliver so consistently.
