Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres beat the New York Islanders Wednesday night, 4-2, to take a three games to one playoff series lead.
Forward Jason Pominville, who scored late in the third period, said the team worked hard for the win.
"I think tonight was our most solid, 60 minute effort," Pominville said. "We're pretty happy with the way we played."
With a win Friday night in Buffalo, the Sabres can wrap up the opening round series.
