Buffalo, NY – A developer with ambitious plans for downtown Buffalo met with reporters Wednesday.
Bashar Issa of England's BSC Group said his $360 million, 40-story tower near City Hall downtown would include office space, a hotel and condominiums.
Mayor Byron Brown says he supports and welcomes Issa along with the mix of investors and developers showing interest in Buffalo.
Issa says he sees great potential here.
"You have the foundation of a great city," Issa said. "The people are positive. The city is geographically well situated. The city was just in limbo for some time. With the right administration and with the right attitude, I see a giant being unleashed."
BSC's development of the new building, along with the planned $80 million renovation of the Statler Towers, would create 800 to one thousand construction jobs in Buffalo.
