Buffalo, NY – The Diocese of Buffalo is looking to marketing as a way of boosting enrollment in Catholic schools.
Thursday night, the Diocese announced a new partnership with the Catholic School Development Program, or CDSP, in restructuring financial and administrative operations at the elementary school level. The program also uses marketing to spread the news about the excellence of a Catholic education.
Without strong elementary schools, CDSP officials say Catholic high schools and colleges face declining enrollments.
A similar program enacted in Camden New Jersey boosted parochial school enrollments from 700 to 1,100, and a $3 million debt was eliminated.
