Alden, NY – A noontime rally is being held at the Erie County Home Tuesday. Several members of the Erie County Legislature are also vowing to keep the Erie County Home and Infirmary open.
A three million dollar budget cut proposed by the Giambra administration has led to suggestions that the home in Alden would have to close.
County Legislator Denise Marshall is working to get support from state and federal authorities to help keep the facility open.
And, County Legislature Chairman George Holt tells the Buffalo News he will use his influence to keep the issue from coming to a vote until all options are exhausted.
