Buffalo, NY – It's a bit unusual. But "Bartenders" will be at the Theatre of Youth's Curtain-Up performance Friday night. The theatrical production of "Bartenders," that is. Buffalo native Lou Mustillo brings his hit Broadway, one-man play to his hometown.
Mustillo wrote his one man play as a tribute to his father -- a career bartender of 52 years. And for all the bartenders he knew growing up in his old neighborhood, not far from where he'll play them on stage this weekend. He still has many friends here. One of them is the Theatre of Youth's Artistic Director, Meg Quinn. And when she gave him a call during his play's run in New York, a strange idea began brewing.

He'll perform his one man play "Bartenders," at the Allendale Theatre this Friday and Saturday for a special, grown-up TOY Curtain-Up production.
