A Buffalo Police officer seriously hurt in a one-car crash has died.
57-year-old officer Anthony Douglas died Sunday night at ECMC.

Douglas crashed his car on Main Street near Depew in North Buffalo in the early morning hours on December 16th.

Buffalo Police spokesman  Michael J. DeGeorge issued the following statement on Douglas's death:

"Officer Anthony Douglas passed away Christmas night just after 10 p.m. at ECMC. Since the accident on Dec. 16, family, friends and fellow officers have been constantly at his bed side. Officer Douglas was a member of the Buffalo Police Department for almost 30 years and at this time our thoughts and prayers are with his family."

No cause has been given for the December 16th car crash.
