Buffalo, NY – The Albright Knox Art Gallery hosted an event Thursday night for several hundred of its closest friends. The gallery unveiled its monumental new digital art exhibit, "VideoSphere."
The entire 1905 building of the gallery was reconfigured to showcase the one-of-a-kind exhibit.
The gallery's one-of-a-kind new giant, canoe sculpture on the Elmwood lawn also was officially named. It is called "Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Monochrome I, Built to Live Anywhere, at Home Here."
Gallery spokesperson Maria Scully Morreale said the sculpture is stirring conversation and shaking up the gallery's image.
The creator of the sculpture, artist Nancy Rubins was on hand for the Christening.
