Buffalo, NY – A piece of Buffalo's cherished Sabres history will be preserved from the historic Memorial Auditorium. Two orange nosebleed seats were donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Tuesday at a small ceremony on the Aud grounds. Hall of Fame vice president and curator Phil Pritchard was there to accept the seats.
The memorial, with other mementos and a 1993 blueprint of the building, will sit alongside pieces of legendary arenas from Montreal, Chicago and Toronto, and should be ready for viewing when the hockey season starts up in September. Pritchard says the seats will be polished up a bit, but the chewing gum stuck under them will remain.
