Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres are ramping up for their big outdoor hockey game New Year's day at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Sabres Goalie Ryan Miller offered some insight on playing outdoor hockey during a conference call with reporters Monday.

Preparations are in full-swing as the Sabres get set to host the AMP Energy NHL Winter Classic. The Sabres will face off on January 1st against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Ralph.

Ryan Miller played in what was dubbed the "Cold War" outdoor game in Lansing back in 2001.

Now the pro-hockey star might be considered a veteran outdoor players. Miller recalls his most memorable moment while playing before 74,000 fans.

And the Sabres have also announced that NBC sports says Bob Costas will be hosting broadcast coverage of the Sabres out door game on New Year's Day.
