Record High Gasoline Prices Arrive in Buffalo

By Staff

Buffalo, NY – Record high prices for gasoline have arrived in the Buffalo Niagara region for the Labor Day weekend.

Gas prices have soared by as much as 25- cents a gallon over the last two weeks.

The Triple A reports a new all-time high average price of $1.79 per gallon was reached in the Buffalo area Thursday. It surpasses the previous record that was set just prior to the was in Iraq last March.

But that's not expected to affect holiday travel. The Triple A is forecasting this will be the heaviest traveled Labor Day weekend in eight years.
