Spoken Arts: Playwright Eugene Lee

By Mary Van Vorst

Buffalo, NY – Eugene Lee says people still stop him on the street, demanding to know how he could treat Oprah Winfrey that way. Lee played Winfrey's spoiled son Basil in her production of "Women of Brewster Place," just one of his many acting credits. He's also a writer. His latest play, "Somebody Called," will premier this month here in Buffalo at the Ujima Theater.
