Amherst, NY – Victims of last year's terrorist attacks who had local ties were remembered in Amherst Sunday.
A memorial grove along the Ellicott Creek bike path was rededicated, and relatives of victims took part in the ceremonies.
Ashes from Ground Zero were placed at the site by the widow of one of the victims.
Development of the site is continuing. The memorial will include 120 trees arranged in groups to depict the numbers nine and eleven.
